Welcome to the Pinson Valley High School Yearbook Web Page!

This website will allow you to find any and all information about the Chieftain, pictures, senior ads and pictures, and how to become a yearbook staff member.

Welcome!  I'm Tiffany Little, yearbook advisor and sophomore English teacher at Pinson Valley High School.  I would like to thank you for visiting the Chieftain website to learn more about our yearbook.

For me advising the yearbook staff is a passion that I have had since I was a yearbook staff member in high school.  I enjoy creating such a wonderful memory book that students can look through for the rest of their lives.

I love the creativity that yearbook brings out in my students and in myself.  It is truly the most rewarding position.

I hope that you enjoy looking at our yearbook as much as we enjoy creating it for you.  Thank you for purchasing and supporting the Chieftain staff!  Go Indians!

Thank You!!!!

Everything that is done to put this yearbook together is not done just by the staff members and myself.  It is a team effort.  A special thanks to Taylor Publishing Company and our representative, Chris Nail, for all that you do.  Also, we would not have pictures for our book if it were not for Bill Miller Photography and Phillips Photo.  Also, a special thanks goes out to all the students, teachers, and parents who send pictures and help to make the book successful. A very special thanks goes to our principal, June Houge; assistant principals Lurlean Brown and Russ Cofield; and honorary sponsor, Karen Mardis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the Chieftain yearbook in black and white this year?

The Chieftain yearbook will no longer be in full color this year.  Due to poor sales last year, our budget would not allow a full color book.  The first 32 pages will be in color, which includes the senior portraits.  The senior ads, however, will not be in color.  We have looked at all of our options, but it just is not possible to offer senior ads in color.  If you want this to change, help us sell more yearbooks!

Why did the Chieftain staff switch to a fall delivery book?

This is a question that I often get asked.  The reason the Chieftain staff switched to a fall delivery book was to better cover the activities that occur in the spring.  A yearbook is a book that is supposed to cover an ENTIRE school year, not just the fall semester.  The staff wants to include the spring events that are left out with a spring delivery book such as prom, graduation, spring play, Womanless Beauty Pageant, Awards Day, baseball, golf, tennis, softball, track, diamond dolls, and more.  We do it for the students and for their lasting memories.

Can't you use a suppliment instead?

No.  No one buys them, and it costs to much to make them.  The cost is more than the sell.

Fall delivery keeps the students from having their friends sign their book.  If they are seniors, how can they have their friends sign their books?

The staff has autograph pages available for students to purchase at $1 that includes 8 pages for signatures.  Students can insert these pages at the end of their yearbook once they arrive.

How do I pick up my yearbook if I have graduated?

First, check this website for when the yearbooks have arrived.  Alumni may come pick up their books before school, after school, or from 11:45-1:00 any school day.  Also, students may pick them up during Homecoming.  Another student may pick up the book as long as their is a note signed by the alumni saying it is okay if that student picks it up.

Do you hold our yearbooks forever?

Yes.

Can you purchase a yearbook once it comes in?

Yes.  Once the purchased yearbooks are separated and delivered, the extra yearbooks will be on sale for 75 dollars.
